Since 1985,
San Gabriel Chorale has performed in many famous venues.
In 2005, we sang at Bass Hall with the Austin Symphony.
Thanksgiving, in 2004, we performed at Carnegie Hall (and are
planning to perform there again). In 2006, San
Gabriel Chorale had a beautiful performance of
Bach's
St Mark's Passion,
with a 17 piece orchestra, and a dynamic performance of
Haydn's "The Creation". In February of 2007, we
did an exciting performance of
Mozart, followed by a
Mass of Lord
Nelson in April and Schubert in June as part of
the Festival of Arts.
Over the
years, the Chorale has had the good fortune to perform a wide
range of choral masterpieces, including Bach's B minor Mass,
Vivaldi's Gloria, Mozart's Grand Mass in C minor, Haydn's Lord
Nelson Mass and Handel's Messiah among many others.
Performances have challenged us in Latin, German, French,
Russian, Spanish and even Hebrew. We have enjoyed learning
from many talented music professionals including Austin Symphony
Maestro Peter Bay, Dr. Kenny Sheppard, and our own Dr. Bruce
Cain and Dr. David Polley.
