A translation in English is:

The kind mother of God the Creator

Sits as the guilty sinner's most merciful mother.

You, in your mercy, do what we ask

for us who are prone to conflict.

Missa Brevis in D is written for sopranos. The organ part plays an major role in the mass and should be treated as such - quiet subtle playing in soft passages, and fiery energetic playing in loud passages. The sopranos sing as legato as possible, particularly in the slower sections, so as to sustain a good sense of phrase.

Ave Verum Corpus was written for Anton Stoll, a friend of Mozart. It is a chorale challenge; simple, yet unforgiving of anything less than perfection.
